Who are the classes for?
Our programs are designed for women, children, and teens of all experience levels. No prior experience is required.
Do I need to be in shape to take these classes?
No. Our programs are designed to be accessible, inclusive, and suitable for all abilities.
Are your classes safe?
Yes. All programs are delivered in a structured, controlled environment focused on learning, awareness, and confidence building.
Is the training physically intense?
Kids and school programs are non-physical and education-based. Women’s programs may include optional physical self-defence training depending on the session.
How is this different from martial arts?
We are not a martial arts program. Our focus is on real-world awareness, communication, confidence, and practical personal safety skills.
Where do you offer training?
Based out of Vancouver BC, we deliver programs in schools, community spaces, private venues, and organizations across Canada.
Kidstrong (Kids Program) FAQs
What age groups can join KidStrong?
KidStrongHer is designed for children aged 6–18 with age-appropriate programming.
Will this training scare my child?
No. Our approach is positive, supportive, and focused on confidence-building and awareness—not fear.
What does “stranger danger” training include?
We teach students how to recognize safe and unsafe situations, understand boundaries, and respond with confidence and communication skills.
Will my child learn physical self-defence?
No. The KidStrongHer program is education-based and non-physical. Students do not participate in physical techniques or drills.
Can shy or anxious children participate?
Yes. The program is designed to be inclusive, supportive, and suitable for all personality types.

I’ve never taken a self-defence class before. Is StrongHer suitable for beginners?
Yes! StrongHer is designed specifically for real-world situations women face—no previous training needed.
What will I learn in StrongHer?
You will learn awareness, boundary-setting, communication skills, and practical self-defence techniques for real-world situations.
Will we practice real scenarios?
Yes. Participants engage in guided, controlled scenario-based training to build confidence and response skills.
I’ve had a past negative experience. Is this training trauma-informed?
Yes. Our team uses a sensitive, supportive approach, allowing students to participate at their own pace with no pressure.
Can I book StrongHer for a group event?
Definitely! We offer group training for workplaces, women’s groups, universities, community organizations, and private groups.

How long are the classes?
Sessions typically range from 60–90 minutes depending on the program.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing, water, and a willingness to learn. All safety and training equipment is provided.
Do you offer private or one-on-one sessions?
Yes — both for kids and women. These can be tailored to specific needs.
How do I register for a class?
Submit your information through our online registration form. Because our classes are highly interactive, we require a minimum of 10 participants to run a session. Once we reach full capacity, you will receive an email confirming the class date along with a secure payment link and all additional details. No payment is required until the class is officially confirmed.
Do you travel for workshops?
Yes. We provide training across Canada and can come to your school, workplace, or community center.
